hand block printed with natural dyes

we design everything on paper with watercolors.

our designs are carved by hand into wooden blocks by our block carvers in Rajasthan.

we use non-toxic dyes made from things like onion skins, turmeric, and pomegranate rinds which has been used in traditional textile printing that are over 500 years old!

the wooden blocks are used by our printers to print our patterns onto Indian cotton.

after printing, the scarves are spread out in the communal drying field. after two days under the sun,the scarves are boiled in a bath of alum to fix the color and then dried on the drying field again.

each scarves are inspected after drying.

one scarf takes many days to create. each scarf is unique piece and no two textiles are exactly alike.
